Welcome Lodge is located in the Canadian shield which boasts rugged rock formations, majestic pine trees and beautiful scenery. All of the cottages overlook the sheltered waters of the West Arm which provides the perfect setting for both fishermen and families alike.  Thousands of acres of crown land and park with nature and hiking trails, leads to privacy and serenity abound.

The miles of sheltered waterways of the West Arm are a fisherman's delight, even when the weather refuses to cooperate. The West Arm, Lake Nipissing, and the French River are well known for their pickerel (walleye), bass, northern pike, muskie, whitefish and pan fish. As all are easily accessible from Welcome Lodge, the choice is yours. With a variety of quality boats and motors, gas, and fresh live bait, we can cater to all your fishing needs. A launching ramp and excellent docking facilities are available for those who wish to bring their own boats.

In addition to swimming, water lovers can enjoy the use of boats, canoes, paddle boats and kayaks. For the naturalist, whether enjoying the waterways or trekking the miles of forest, exploration is unlimited. Other land facilities include a children's playground, volleyball, badminton, horseshoes and a baseball diamond.

• 8:00 a.m. With my coffee on my private breezy porch, John is long gone to catch the Big One.
• Noon, call the kids in from exploring for lunch.
• 3:00 p.m. Peace and quiet with a book under a tall pine tree.
• 6:00 p.m. A delicious dinner of John's fresh fish.
• 8:00 p.m. Relax and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
• 11:00 p.m. I drift off to sleep in peaceful tranquillity after another wonderful day.

Accommodations

Our spacious cottages all overlook the water and evening sunsets. We have deluxe two and three bedroom cottages. They are fully equipped four piece bathrooms, colour T.V.'s, screened porches, propane barbecues, lawn chairs, picnic tables and a private dock.

Family Recreation: Our property, with a half mile of shoreline and 130 acres adjacent to thousands of acres of Crown Land, offers you complete privacy and unlimited opportunities to explore nature. We have two sandy beach areas. Guests enjoy free us of all recreation facilities including paddle boats, kayaks, baseball, basketball and other recreational facilities.

Fishing - MNR District 11: There are numerous miles of sheltered waterways in the West Arm of Lake Nipissing and the French River and the wide open waters of Lake Nipissing. The area offers good fishing for Northern Pike, Muskellunge, Pickerel (walleye), Bass and all sorts of panfish.

Convenience: Golf course, shopping and churches are all within 15 minutes of Welcome Lodge. Major shopping centres, entertainment and other attractions are all within an hour's drive.

Pets: We love them, but regret that we cannot accept them.
