Shining Tree is located on Highway 560, midway between the cities of Sudbury and Timmins.  From Sudbury, follow Hwy. 144 north to Hwy. 560, then east on 560 approximately 30 miles.

If you wish to take a day off fishing, spend a day in Sudbury visiting it's major attractions.  Science North, a world class science museum with hands-on exhibits for the kids and an IMAX theatre, or visit the Big Nickel Mine.  In Timmins, go underground to a working gold mine on a tour sponsored by the Timmins Chamber of Commerce.
