A Vacation Wonderland
An advantage of our sheltered location is the fact that good fishing can be had without crossing any large open bodies of water even on those days when the weather refuses to cooperate. Of course the people that greet you as you
arrive are no less than exceptional. Every Rustic Cottages Island 10 is a small operated fishing retreat. Our average guest capacity is approximately twenty six people. We have nine comfortable, well screened, rustic log cottages, varying in size to accommodate parties of two to six people. Our cabins are furnished with comfortable beds, wood stoves, refrigerators, and each cabin has electricity and a modern indoor bath including flush toilets and showers. Home generated electricity lights the island from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Our American Plan package includes everything for a real northern holiday. Here at Island 10 some of the finest meals in the North are served. Breakfast and dinner are tastefully prepared and served family style in our dining room daily, and there are lots of home-made pastries and deserts every day. For your noon meal, we provide a complete pack lunch, or we supply a shore lunch kit equipped daily, allowing you to prepare your own fish!
Don't Forget Your Camera
As well we suggest that you bring warm clothing for the cool
mornings and evenings. Other useful items that you might want to bring are a thermos, rain
gear, cooler and flashlight. No need to bring sleeping bags as all bedding, blankets, linens and towels are supplied with daily maid service. All you need is your fishing tackle! Fishing licences are not available at the lodge. There are many trading posts and general stores along the way north where they can be purchased. For those wishing to explore even more of this pristine wilderness, boats are available on inland lakes at no extra charge. In addition, there are no extra charges for reserved private parking, canoes, boat service to and from the lodge, ice, fish cleaning, packaging and storage, and lots of friendly, courteous service. Island 10 nestles among pine-clad islands
dotting the water on Lady Evelyn Lake. With over 650 miles of shoreline, the area is very
remote, secluded and definitely a non-commercial area with excellent fishing. There are no
roads to Lady Evelyn Lake. It is accessible only by boat or plane. As a result of our
prime location, good fishing is just a short distance away, and guides are simply not
necessary.
