Main Camp Camp Anjigami's Housekeeping

Camp Anjigami is immaculately maintained, and we invite you to experience northern Ontario wilderness in complete comfort by offering: hot and cold water, showers, toilets and combination solar and generator-powered electricity for guests staying at our Main Camp.
The Lodge
served for a number of years as a corporate retreat for the Algoma Steel
Company, and you can now enjoy these fine accommodations. Complimenting its
log construction is a large, stone fireplace. It is also home to two large
bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. While enjoying the Lodge's wilderness
décor, you may want to make use of its central recreation room for reading,
playing board games, throwing darts, or shooting a game of pool. The Lodge
also houses modern and deluxe shower and toilet facilities. The Bunkhouse is located across from the Lodge, with four additional bedrooms, each equipped with a double/twin bunk bed combination. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag, or your own bed linens, including pillowcases, or you may wish to bring your own pillow. The quaint log-constructed
Kitchen/Dining Building is only a few steps
away, and sits atop a small bluff overlooking the lake. The Kitchen includes
a large pantry with cupboards, a 17 cubic ft. electric refrigerator, a chest
freezer and a large, commercial grade range/oven. Electric coffee maker and
old fashioned coffee pots, electric toaster, cooking and baking utensils,
tableware, china, and serving plates are also provided for your convenience.
In fact, everything you will need to prepare your meals under the
Housekeeping Plan. The Dining Room itself seats up to 18-20 people. While dining, you can take in the picturesque view. A perfect place to daydream about the day's adventures, or to watch the eagles, ducks and loons on the lake below. **Please note: the Lodge, Bunkhouse, and the Kitchen/Dining Building are offered as one unit. Adjoining the Kitchen/Dining Building is a gazebo with picnic tables. Just outside the gazebo, there are two propane barbecue grills and a deep fryer available for all of our guests. The Loon's Nest is a cozy, self-contained, log cabin on the bluff with an enclosed screened-in porch for a spectacular view of the craggy hill across the lake. The cabin has a queen/twin bunk bed suitable for a couple with a child, or two adults. It has a kitchenette (with propane refrigerator and stove), a heater and a bathroom with shower. It also has its own cooking and eating utensils, and its own barbecue grill on the deck.
The Just-4-U cabin is a comfortable and modern, self-contained, two-bedroom (each with a double/twin bunk bed) log cabin which can accommodate up to 5 individuals. The cabin has a bathroom with shower, a kitchen with propane stove/oven and refrigerator, and a living room with a queen size sofa-bed, gas heat, and a three season porch in front.

Tabor Cove While enjoying the main camp facilities on Anjigami Lake, you will have a chance for some challenging fishing for lake trout, northern pike or walleye. You can also hike and portage to surrounding lakes for northerns, walleye and speckled trout. The camp provides 14 and 16 ft. aluminum boats with swivel seats, outboard motors, and gas for your use throughout you stay. For those looking for other
activities, we offer geocaching around our area, or hike and explore the
surrounding woods for animal life, bird watching, or wild flowers. Or swim
off our sandy beach, sunbathe, walk 1 ˝ miles to a nearby Sponge Creek
falls, or hike/climb the craggy hill located across the lake. We have
kayaks, canoes, and a paddle boat for our guests-free of charge; plus a
pontoon boat for rent. From mid-July, there are plenty of wild However, for those wishing interactions with the "outside world", there are shops in Wawa, in addition to a 9-hole golf course, bowling alley, and a Lake Superior kayak outfitter (visit www.wawa.cc ). Wawa is only 40 minutes away, and the town of Chapleau is approximately 90 minutes from our main camp.
