Who we are

Bow Narrows Camp has been owned and operated by the same family since 1961.

Dan Baughman and wife Brenda took over the camp from Dan’s father, Don Baughman, in 1992.

Dan grew up at the camp and for more than 10 years worked as a fishing and hunting guide.

He later obtained a degree in biology and for about 10 years was an outdoor writer for a Northern Ontario daily newspaper and Ontario outdoor magazines.

Brenda came to work at the camp as a waitress and cook and fell in love with Dan and the outdoors.

She obtained a degree in education and worked as an elementary school teacher before returning to the camp full-time with Dan.

Bow Narrows is not just a business for us; it is our home. We treat it, our guests and the environment with respect and dignity.

We love this beautiful place with its stunning scenery, friendly animals and rhythm that is based, not on a road, but the water. And like the waves on the lake, we intend for it to go on forever.
