Bow Narrows Camp - Red Lake Ontario

Dining

Bring a healthy appetite when you come to Bow Narrows Camp. Our American Plan dining is famous for its hearty breakfasts, many-option lunches and delicious restaurant-style suppers.

Do you need to follow a special diet? Is someone in your group a vegetarian? No problem. Our kitchen staff is adept at meeting your needs. Just let us know in advance.

Our dining room and lodge is right on the waterfront with a spectacular view of the lake. Watch loons and bald eagles each day while you are eating.

What’s for breakfast?

Your choice of:

bacon, sausage, eggs the way you like them, pancakes, toast, orange juice, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, milk and hot chocolate.

Lunch options

1.      Take a shore-lunch box with all the fixin’s and cook your fish over a wood fire out on the rocks or at a beach.

2.      Have the kitchen cook your own fish at the lodge.

3.      Twice a week the lodge cooks your fish for scheduled “indoor shore  lunches” which are more elaborate than the ones you cook yourself.

4.      Take sandwiches, cookies, fruit and soft drink in a bag lunch.

5.      Come back to the lodge for that day’s hot entree, i.e. soup, stew, chili, burgers.

A supper example: Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding

Supper starts with hot pan buns and fresh garden salad.

Your server will ask you about a beverage: coffee, tea, soft drink, lemonade, milk or other?

The entrée is sirloin tip roast beef served with mashed potatoes and gravy, Yorkshire pudding, and whole green beans.

Dessert is a hefty portion of Mile High Lemon Meringue Pie.

Examples of other entrees: chicken breast, pork chops, ham, lasagna, sirloin
steak!
