Dining
Bring a
healthy appetite when you come to Bow Narrows Camp. Our
American Plan dining is famous for its hearty breakfasts,
many-option lunches and delicious restaurant-style suppers.
Do you
need to follow a special diet? Is someone in your group a
vegetarian? No problem. Our kitchen staff is adept at meeting
your needs. Just let us know in advance.
Our
dining room and lodge is right on the waterfront with a
spectacular view of the lake. Watch loons and bald eagles each
day while you are eating.
What’s
for breakfast?
Your
choice of:
bacon,
sausage, eggs the way you like them, pancakes, toast, orange
juice, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, milk and hot chocolate.
Lunch
options
1.
Take a shore-lunch box with all the fixin’s and cook
your fish over a wood fire out on the rocks or at a beach.
2.
Have the kitchen cook your own fish at the lodge.
3.
Twice a week the lodge cooks your fish for scheduled
“indoor shore lunches” which are more elaborate than the ones
you cook yourself.
4.
Take sandwiches, cookies, fruit and soft drink in a bag
lunch.
5.
Come back to the lodge for that day’s hot entree, i.e.
soup, stew, chili, burgers.
A supper example: Roast Beef with
Yorkshire Pudding
Supper starts with hot
pan buns and fresh garden salad.
Your
server will ask you about a beverage: coffee, tea, soft drink,
lemonade, milk or other?
The entrée is
sirloin tip roast beef served with mashed potatoes and gravy,
Yorkshire pudding, and whole green beans.
Dessert is a hefty portion of Mile High
Lemon Meringue Pie.
Examples of other
entrees: chicken breast, pork chops, ham, lasagna, sirloin
steak!
