ATIKWA LAKE LODGE specializes in a secluded Canadian wilderness fishing experience amidst uncrowded, unspoiled waters featuring abundant lake trout and trophy northern pike action plus walleye and muskie fishing on nearby portage lakes. Flying from our Nestor Falls, Ontario departure base is an enjoyable experience and you will be amazed by the scenic beauty of our island location smack in the middle of breathtaking Atikwa Lake. Loons, eagles, moose and bear provide a wildlife backdrop you will long remember. Many of our guests return year after year as much for the quiet scenic beauty as for the excellent fishing.
ATIKWA LAKE LODGE offers 4 or 7 day Housekeeping or American Plan packages tailored to meet your Canadian fishing vacation needs. Our modern light-housekeeping cabins are completely furnished and will comfortably sleep from two to ten guests. Each cabin is furnished with single beds, Hudson Bay blankets, linens, towels, three piece bath, kitchens, electric heat, and a propane grill for evening cookouts. The large main lodge serves as a central gathering place to swap "fish tales", buy a few Atikwa souvenirs, stock up on tackle from the tackle shop, purchase grocery items or snacks, or just relax with a cup of coffee.
The AMERICAN PLAN PACKAGE includes delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinners served in the main lodge dining area. Dinners are topped off with fresh daily "hit the spot" desserts. Shore lunch kits are provided for your noon meal and include everything except the fish (of course, you catch). Or, if you prefer, a hefty sandwich lunch can be packed for you. Homemade cookies accompany either lunch selection. Guides will prepare shore lunch for guests using our guide service.
You will be able to fish over 40,000 acres of clear, clean water on Atikwa Lake plus any of our 13 surrounding portage lakes where our boats cache is waiting for you. Atikwa fishermen love our portage lakes where they can have the lake entirely to themselves and fish in private seclusion and "listen to the quiet" while fully appreciating the beauty of the Canadian wilderness.
At ATIKWA LAKE LODGE we pride ourselves in offering our guests first rate fishing equipment. We feature 16 foot boats with 20HP Honda motors for a smooth, quiet fishing experience. Our 16 ft. main lake boats include all marine gas, landing nets, boat cushions, padded high backed swivel fishing seats and all necessary marine equipment. Larger upgrades are available with 40 HP electric start boats with live wells and depth finders. Guide service, portable downriggers, and depth finders are also available to enhance your fishing success. Of course, advise and fishing instruction is always available free of charge. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LIFE JACKET. They are now required by law in Ontario for all fishermen.
DON'T FORGET.... Please purchase your fishing license before your flight departure in Nestor Falls since licenses are not available at the lodge. Bring appropriate outdoor clothing including rain gear. Housekeeping package guests can bring necessary food or to cut down on your weight restriction and avoid an extra weight flying charge you can place a "food order" with us and your cabin will be stocked with your grocery needs prior to your arrival. We always keep a supply of food staples on hand in the camp store in case you need anything. Fly-in weight restriction is 80lbs. per person and this includes personal gear, clothing, food, beverage and fishing equipment. We must charge for excess weight. Check in at Northwest Flying Service in Nestor Falls at least 45 minutes prior to your departure time...11:00 a.m. flight to Atikwa on Monday mornings and 9:00 a.m. flights to Atikwa on Friday mornings.
